All-Inclusive Spa Resorts in North Carolina

Relaxed Young Woman During Treatment at Spa

Sometimes you just need to get away from it all. But not the type of trip where you're busy planning and running from place to place in the area you picked to stay in. Sometimes, you just want to be pampered a little and have someone else do the planning. Not having to run all over town would also be nice.

We've got you. Here we give a sample of two of our favorite resorts located right here in North Carolina.

Sanderling Resort

Located conveniently on the Outer Banks, Sanderling is a beachfront destination where you don't need to leave the property to have a wild time. Or a relaxing time. It's all up to you. Below is a list of what you can expect during a stay.

Amenities

Sanderling is a great place to disconnect, whether it's just the two of you or the whole family coming along for the adventure. Since the property is on the beach, the resort has private access. The convenience of being able to walk out of your room and be on the sand in a matter of minutes should never be underestimated, especially when there are little ones along for the ride.

If you're not looking to get sand on everything, you can always opt for one of the three pool options. There's also a fitness center.

Spa

You're already at a resort, you might as well make the most of it. The spa started calling your name before you even got out of the car. Not only are you overlooking Currituck Sound while inside, but the Outer Banks are actually brought into the service. Local ingredients are added to enhance the experience.

What kind of body treatments are available?

  • Massage
  • Body Care
  • Skin
  • Restoration
  • Gentleman's Care
  • Signature Treatment

Oh, don't forget, there's also a salon and yoga classes. If you really love it, you can get married here!

Dining

No matter how picky the eaters are in your group, there's bound to be something they will find delightful at this resort. To start with, there are three restaurants to choose from that cater to different meal needs. Here are the options:

  • Lifesaving Station. Whether your day is just starting or you're ready to wrap it up, this is the most popular place to eat at Sanderling. Starting with breakfast at 7 am through dinner service ending at 9 pm, the name says it all.
  • Kimball's Kitchen. Get the best ocean view in all of the OBX. This is a fine dining experience for a more civilized meal. Open for reservations starting in May.
  • Sandbar. What's better than not having to get changed to get a snack at the beach? Having the snack on the beach! The aptly named quick bite spot has beverages of every sort under bright orange umbrellas. Open April through October.

Holiday Inn Resort in Wrightsville Beach, NC

Toward the bottom tip of North Carolina is a resort that entertains you on their campus as well as takes you out for excursions around Wrightsville. They even have weekly events to attend. Here is a list of indoor and outdoor activities that will make you want to book your next vacation here. As one guest expressed, "This is the best place I've taken my family. No kid ever complains about being bored and we can always find things to do as a group and separately without having to worry."

Amenities

Aside from beach access, there are other ways to get in the water. What's your preference, indoor or outdoor? There's a pool for both. There's also a kiddie pool and two hot tubs. If you want to have a dry day, there's a playground, fitness center, sports court, and even the KidSpree activity center. Let's not forget, Dive-In Movies, where you can watch poolside.

Need something? There's Trolley Shoppe Gifts near the lobby. Need something else? Holiday Inn Resort offers a free shuttle locally.

Dining

All those activities will surely build a need for nourishment. Luckily, you won't have to go far. Leave everything in your room and go on out to one of their two restaurants.

  • Oceans Restaurant & Bar. Take a break from the wind to dine inside with a view. This spot opens at 7 am and stays open until 9 pm to serve all your meals, if interested. Another bonus, kids 12 and under eat free!
  • Lazy Daze Bar & Grill. If the kids want to swim but you would like a drink, there's no need to compromise. Just outside by the pool is a place where you can watch everything going on while giving yourself a little treat.

Recreational Activities

If you want to have a fun day by the beach, but forgot to bring chairs or umbrellas for the sand, you can rent them from the resort. Is your group into play? This is your place. Holiday Inn has a multitude of equipment to check out from the front desk to take outside. Available for play are:

  • Volleyball
