Best Spa in North Carolina

As crazy as things can get in your normal life, it's important to not forget about what really matters: you. If you don't take care of yourself, no one else will. Be your own advocate and do something that you won't regret.

The best way to treat yourself is to have a spa experience. You deserve some pampering, after all. So, we've put together a list of our favorite spas in North Carolina. The kind of places you're willing to travel to for the experience.

Of course, feel free to bring a friend or spouse. Heck, there's even a mini-me facial for the child or teen in your life.

Get your neck pillow, it's time for relaxation.

Spa Koru

One of the most popular spots to soak up the ocean resides in Koru Village. This experience can be done as a girl's trip, while on vacation with your family in the Outer Banks, or as a solo getaway of rejuvenation. Below is a list of services available at their spa.

If you want a little bit of a longer stay, Koru Village really stands by its name. Available during your visit is an oceanfront RV park, restaurant, recreation park, water activities, indoor pool, beach music club, and fishing pier.

Message Treatments

Whatever you are looking to get out of this spa experience, there's massage therapy for you. These are the choices:

  • New Beginnings is a signature massage that is really a combo of Silver Fern and Deep Sea.
  • Silver Fern uses the Swedish technique for tension and stress release.
  • Deep-Sea focuses on trigger points in deeper tissue layers.
  • Fire Stone has heated stones placed along the back pressure points with oil massage.
  • Couple massage consists of Silver Fern for two.

There are massage treatments that start at 50 minutes and go up to 80. Prices range from $115 up to the couple's massage at $320. Some include deep tissue, others use a Swedish technique. We shouldn't forget about the heated sea stones used in the Fire Stone massage!

Facials

Maybe you just need someone to pay attention to your face. That can go with a massage or without. There are two facials to choose from, the first is called Spiral Up and it's an 80-minute facial costing $165. Spiral Up is focused on sun damage and premature aging.

The second is Custom Eminence, which lasts 50 minutes for $115. It's a custom facial because the organic treatments are based on your skin type. Then comes cleansing, exfoliation, and moisturizing.

Body Treatments

Sometimes you just need a little bit more. That's when all-over body treatments hit the spot. Spa Koru offers two exclusive body treatments that will have you melting like butter.

  • Sea Salt Serenity is 80 minutes of organic exfoliating with sea salt followed by a Shea butter moisturizer. After being wrapped in toasty blankets, you'll get massages on your hands, neck, and feet.
  • Island Cream is a 50-minute wrap that starts with brushing over the body with a Shea butter layer added afterward. This also includes an extremity massage assisted by essential oils.

Coming inland, this is the top-rated spa in Fayetteville. If you would like the vacation treatment without having to hop on a plane, the Venetian is your spot. As one customer shared, "This is the best spa I have ever been to and I don't say that lightly. I have traveled across the US and this place has the ambiance, care, and ultimate relaxation."

Perhaps one of the best things about this spa is the extensive massage options. For each different type, you can get a one-hour or an hour and a half massage. This is what's on the massage menu:

  • Back, Neck, & Shoulder
  • Couples
  • Deep Tissue
  • Hand
  • Swedish
  • Signature
  • Sports

The options don't end there, though. They have a selection of specialty massages:

  • Aromatherapy is a massage that happens while being surrounded by scented oils.
  • Stone Massage uses hot earth stones to bring warm relaxation to your back and body.

After getting accepted to ECU, I started looking for things to do in and around Greenville, NC. However, my searches kept taking me to places in South Carolina! There must be things to do around ECU, so I started asking other students. They kept telling me to graduate and move away! This inspired me to begin exploring eastern North Carolina and build this website as a showcase of the places to go, sights to see, and things to do all over eastern NC. I have fallen in love with this region and started taking up roots here. After graduating, I didn't move away - I bought a house here and continue to explore eastern North Carolina.
