Keith Rhodes opened Catch restaurant in 2006 in the town of Wilmington, North Carolina. He hoped to share his passion for seafood with the locals by combining seafood grown locally with a highlight of seasonal flavors ranging from sweet potatoes to blackberries. And at the same time, supporting local fisheries practice sustainability.
The name Keith Rhodes should ring a few bells to the locals. As he was nominated by the James Beard Foundation for the best southeast chef. He was also voted as the city’s best chef for three consecutive years and participated in Bravo’s season 9 of ‘Top Chef.’
Rhodes and his partner Angela have also committed to a cause of serving the best ingredients in their restaurants, to best help the local seafood market. He’s also part of an outreach program that helps local children and mentors aspiring chefs.
You can find Catch restaurant in Market Street Heights strip mall. Located on Market Street and Sarah Circle right across the street from Wilmington Auto Wholesale, a used car dealer shop.
Wilmington, North Carolina is a port city and the county seat of New Hanover County. It has a small population of around one-hundred thousand people and is the eighth-most populated city in the state of North Carolina. Keith invested in a food truck that goes around the state of North Carolina and serves its dishes on the go. It was voted best food truck in Wilmington by Encore readers five consecutive years and was visited by Melissa McCarthy and her crew during their visit in Atlanta, Georgia.
Catch the food truck has also been seen in the Brooklyn art district of downtown Wilmington and at the Amazon studio in Culver City, California, and Carolina Beach, North Carolina.
