Christmas Things to Do in Eastern NC

Christmas Things to Do in Eastern NC

“What is Christmas? It is the tenderness of the past, courage for the present, and hope for the future." Those wise words were the words of Agnes M. Pahro. But, that’s what Christmas means to her. To others, Christmas might simply be a day of giving. A day of hope.

Throughout the holiday season you can expect:

Each one is especially important in its own way. It lifts up the spirit of the givers and the receivers and sets the tone for the next year.

Let’s look at ways in which we can lift up your spirit during this joyful time.

Battleship Ho Ho Ho

Visit the Battleship to celebrate the season! With the Christmas spirit in the air, guests are greeted by Santa as they board the battleship. Volunteers are stationed all around the ship to answer any questions you might have.

You can also pose under the ships' Happy Huladays banner to create your own throwback e-card. You get to use the ship's radio message paper on a vintage typewriter for your Christmas wish list. From the main radio room of the Battleship, kids can dial the North Pole. From the Combat Information Center, you can also track Santa's travels. Just make sure to take your camera for some fantastic photo opportunities!

This has to be one of the most fantastic ways to kick off your Christmas season! The Battleship is situated at 1 Battleship Road NE, Wilmington, NC.

Don't miss out on this amazing experience, make sure you aren't on Santa's naughty list!

After getting accepted to ECU, I started looking for things to do in and around Greenville, NC. However, my searches kept taking me to places in South Carolina! There must be things to do around ECU, so I started asking other students. They kept telling me to graduate and move away! This inspired me to begin exploring eastern North Carolina and build this website as a showcase of the places to go, sights to see, and things to do all over eastern NC. I have fallen in love with this region and started taking up roots here. After graduating, I didn't move away - I bought a house here and continue to explore eastern North Carolina.
