Twice As Nice Flea Market

The Twice As Nice Flea Market is a vintage store that allows you to shop for relics. You can get a lot of unique souvenirs from Jacksonville.

This is the largest indoor flea market in the region. It opened on February 1st, 2022, and is functional all days of the week. The market has a lot of incredible vendors who all sell different things. All prices are set to be friendly. The market has air and heat conditioning, making your experience comfortable and easy.

Visiting the market over Christmas time is the best. A lot of the vendors make themed souvenirs and will give holiday discounts.

The Montford Point Marine Museum

This museum is located at Montford Point Camp. It preserves the legacy of African American marines at Montford Point. It is dedicated to collecting, recording, preserving, and displaying information about these marines. The information is in many forms, including:

  • A large collection of photographs
  • Artifacts: The information is from between 1942 and 1949. It is a great way to learn about the rich history of the region. It shows the significance of events from that time, and how they affect us today. The information is preserved for future generations.

The museum opens on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The public is allowed in from 11 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm. On Saturdays, it is open between 11 am and 4 pm. Over Christmas, the museum is decorated with beautiful lights. Walking through the exhibits when they are lit up with beautiful lights is a magical experience.

There must be things to do around ECU, so I started asking other students. They kept telling me to graduate and move away!
