The first self-serve taproom in Greenville, Mpourium, offers visitors 52 self-pour taps. They contain a variety of beer, wine, and champagne selections.
Customers enter the store and have their ID and debit or credit card checked. They are then given a customized wristband that can be scanned at whichever tap they choose to pour from. Once scanned, beer enthusiasts may view the total number of ounces they have poured.
Mpourium is unique because it is a contemporary taproom. Being self-serving allows customers to purchase beer by the ounce instead of a whole pint.
