Arts Of The Albemarle

The Lowry-Chesson building is now home to Arts of the Albemarle. which has recently been renovated. This masterpiece is home to more than 250 painters, photographers, and artisans. Inside are the Jaquelin Jenkins Gallery and the Maguire Theatre. The School of the Arts is also included.

This is one of the best activities for couples to do in Elizabeth City is Arts of the Albemarle. With monthly events like musical performances and First Friday ArtWalk, it is free. Gateway Cinema 1 & 2

January 19, 1973, the Gateway 1 & 2 theaters, operated by Schneider-Merl Theatres, opened. Martin Theatre later took over management of it, and then Carmike Cinemas. The theater was closed by Carmike in the middle of the 1990s. An independent chain took over its management. In the town, there is only one operating movie theater. The Downtown Waterfront Market is a vastly varied haven for all things:

The market typically begins operations in late April or early May. It then remains open through mid-October. The Mariner's Wharf Park is a small green space along the water next to East Fearing Street. It comes alive during the season with dozens of white tents and tiny vendor stands. Each offers a variety of unique crafts, produce, or other local goods.

Rain or shine, the market is open every Saturday during the season from 9:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon. There is plenty of parking available in the lot next to Mariner's Wharf Park. The Downtown Waterfront Market offers a wide variety of:

This is in addition to the regular vendors who are typically present at the market every week. These unique kid-friendly events, are free for all young customers and include everything. Elizabeth City State University Planetarium

Are you ready to impress your partner during this couple's outing? Do so by exploring the wonders of the heavens from the campus of Elizabeth City State University! Hear fascinating astronomy stories, and take a trip through their own galaxy! Now doesn’t that sound like a ton of fun? All performances are free but require reservations. So call in advance.

The DigiStar Theater at the Planetarium at ECSU is exclusive to North Carolina. The 60-seat Planetarium with DigiStar 6 technology offers excellent educational and entertaining resources.

The Star Theater uses the only projection system of its kind in North Carolina. This is to deliver complete 180-degree x 360-degree real-time digital video content.
