Indulge In A Touch Of Class At Tobacco and Hops

Check out Tobacco and Hops if you like cigars and pipes. Open to the public from noon to ten o'clock and every Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight. This is a spacious 425-square-foot walk-in humidor. Visitors can choose from a wide range of products to suit every taste and budget. Relax in a lounger while puffing on your favorite tobacco. This is a great place to meet people from all walks of life who share your enjoyment of a fine cigar or pipe.

Get Down On The Farm With Agritourism

The city of Goldsboro's economy is agriculture-based. The local farmers supply the community with regular and fresh seasonal goodness.

To have a closer look at farm life, visit the Odom Farming Company in the summer and fall. Observe sunflower fields in the summer, pluck pumpkins and navigate a corn maze in the fall. All while getting up and personal with two goats, a cow, and an amiable toy donkey. By appointment, the Odoms give tours of their farm. Weekend visitors are welcome, according to co-owner Emily Odom.

Another farm that visitors can see is the Holly Grove Farm. It is everything from peaceful even though winter may look like a slow time for agriculture. The family farm looks after over 1,000 milking goats. A family of three generations runs this beautiful farm. Make a reservation to visit, and you can stroke the goats. You can also browse the gift shop, which serves a half-dozen varieties of delectable fresh chèvre.

After getting accepted to ECU, I started looking for things to do in and around Greenville, NC. However, my searches kept taking me to places in South Carolina! There must be things to do around ECU, so I started asking other students. They kept telling me to graduate and move away! This inspired me to begin exploring eastern North Carolina and build this website as a showcase of the places to go, sights to see, and things to do all over eastern NC. I have fallen in love with this region and started taking up roots here. After graduating, I didn't move away - I bought a house here and continue to explore eastern North Carolina.
