If you're looking for a relaxing way to spend a summer day in Elizabeth City, NC, head to Waterfront Park. It is situated on the Pasquotank River. The park offers beautiful views of the river and downtown Elizabeth City. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables where you can enjoy the view or have a picnic lunch. The park also has a walking trail and a playground for kids, as well as two boat ramps for those relaxing boat rides.

One of Elizabeth City's historic waterfront features is "The Dome" at Waterfront Park. It was built as a tribute to the former Albemarle Hospital and College of the Albemarle. It was built from the dome roof of those two historic places. It is now known as the Waterfront Pavilion, which prevented it from being demolished.
