Harbor District Christmas Market

A short 22-mile drive from Greenville is the Harbor District Christmas market. Located at 140 West Main Street, Washington, NC

The Harbor District Market's goals are to:

  • Provide customers of all income levels with fresh, healthy food and local goods
  • Foster an inclusive community around locally produced food and other goods

For the Christmas market, the Harbor District market does just that. But with the Christmas spirit. Homemade holiday crafts are available from vendors. It is always great to give someone or gift yourself a completely unique handmade item. On the Friday and Saturday, Santa usually shows up but during select times only. Festival Of Trees

The Festival of Trees has been going on for over 35 years.

The event's official start is in late November, but visitors are encouraged to stop by the:

  • Embassy Suites
  • Hyatt Regency

in Downtown Greenville for a tour of the decorated trees in each hotel's lobby through the end of the month. Invites are sent to nearby companies to add their own unique spin on Christmas tree décor. The Festival of Trees' history is to assist charitable organizations. Sponsors are assisting Project Search in 2022. This initiative helps Greenville County school students prepare for their transition. From school to the workforce during their senior year of high school.

The official event is held at the Greenville Convention Center. Located at 303 SW Greenville Blvd. Greenville, NC. Plan a stroll through a fantastic winter wonderland and secure a spot at Storytime with Santa! Although admission is free, donations are welcome.

The Greenville Jaycees Christmas Parade

Greenville Jaycees Christmas Parade is a tradition that is worth looking forward to seeing. Year after year! This is the event that affects the most people and adds a little magic for the kids in their neighborhood.

If you’re one of the lucky ones, the 2022 Christmas Parade theme is "A Frozen Christmas." Imagine the amazing themes to follow!

You may also enter a float but make your entry SHINY because this parade will take place at night. So enjoy the annual Christmas Parade put on by the Greenville Jaycees. Bringing cheer and holiday fun as it has for more than 75 years! The route runs along Evans Street from First Street to Ninth Street.

Greenville Gives! Holiday Tree Lighting

The City of Greenville and Uptown Greenville is host to the annual tree lighting. The Tree Lighting is to represent the start of the holiday giving season.

Usually, they have:

  • A holiday story reading
  • Opportunity to donate
  • Tree lighting ceremony

This event aims to revive the spirit of the season for everyone with:

  • Holiday crafts
  • Rides on the Emerald Express
  • Seasonal music and performances
  • Hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting time

At Home with Santa

I have decided to add something completely unique for you.

At Home with Santa is a new initiative where Santa comes to your screen! Each Zoom call is 10 minutes long, so you have plenty of time to discuss with the big man what you want. The kids will also receive a letter from Santa and an ornament. The ornament can be used as an activity for your kids! Follow the linked page for info on how to sign up!

Down East Holiday Show

Christmas is a season of giving and lifting your spirit. That's what the Down East Holiday Show strives to accomplish year after year!

The Down East Holiday Show is an annual production of the PCCF. The Pitt Community College Foundation. The show is held to raise money for student scholarships and college programs. They were successful in raising over $100,000 for Pitt Community College students in 2011.

The holiday shopping season officially kicks off with the Down East Holiday Show. The show debuted in 2002. More than 100 exhibitors are present. At the Down East Holiday Show you can expect:

  • Mouth-watering meals
  • Homemade gifts
  • Seasonal decorations
